Continued from Universal Studios [part 1/2]
Madagascar
Everyone loves Madagascar! The colourful tropical jungle comes alive with the cute Madagascar heroes dancing gaily to the thumping tunes. This zone is themed to the hit movie Madagascar.
We all took turns to take pictures with the Madagascar characters. Hi Alex!
It takes two to embrace Gloria the hippopotamus!
King Julien XIII, the fun-loving lord of the lemurs in Madagascar!
Two happy gangs.
The flamboyant Puss in Boots!
There are two attractions at Madagascar: King Julien’s Beach Party-Go-Round (kids will love the carousel!) and A Crate Adventure (coming soon).
A Crate Adventure is a boat ride through the world of Madagascar. It’s still not open for rides yet.
Experimenting the tilt-shift “toy car” effect with Photoshop. =/
Gloria’s Snack Shack.
A fateful ending for the pilot.
A tree stump above the wooden house.
Far Far Away
Attractions at Far Far Away: Shrek 4-D Adventure, Donkey LIVE, Enchanted Airways and Magic Potion Spin.
We watched Shrek 4D Adventure in the fairytale castle. Wear the 3D glasses provided, watch and physically feel the action from where you are seated as the fairytale adventure begins.
Shrek and Princess Fiona!
Hollywood
Hollywood attraction: Pantages Hollywood Theater. The indoor theatre hosts “Monster Rock” in a rock ‘n roll musical. Shop ’til you drop at Hollywood Boulevard and come face to face with the famous celebrities!
Who knows, someone famous is stalking you!
You turn and see this green face.
He introduces himself as Dr. Frankenstein…
and he lost his way in Hollywood Boulevard…
Chic Betty Boop in her iconic hairstyle!
The comical Charlie Chaplin.
The Universal Studios Store at Hollywood offers the largest variety of collectibles, apparel and toys.
Popcorn vintage car.
Here in Hollywood, also the entrance and exit of the theme park.
Get your favourite Hershey’s chocolates outside the entrance of the Universal Studios.

@henry: yeah not bad, n there are still rides under construction.
@MRCHOY: Hot is better than rain!!! It rained occasionally when we were there. When I was in Universal Studio Orlando during summer, it was even hotter than Singapore.
@mylo: The Madagascar gang was dancing when we were there.
@Borneo Falcon: Ha good come n spend more $$ π

is universal studios too crowded? will be coming to singapore on the 31st and we’re booked at universal on april 1st, im just wondering if the place will be congested and you wont be able to get through all the rides and stuff? thanks!
eunice
@Pau: some of the rides are still not ready yet now, perhaps when u come, it gets even better. π
@Glen: It’s hard to say… especially we won’t know if there are any organised group tours to the park on any day. But I think Thurs should be better than Good Fri & weekend. Enjoy!
Glenb
Hey eunice! Thanks a bunch! Im really excited to see singapore! Your blog helped alot. Keep it up!

Aaahhh, a piece of America moves to Singapore. Looks like they’ve done a great job but I bet it will be busy for the first few weeks of opening as everyone piles in to check out all the new rides. The intertwined roller coaster looks super.

eunice
@Mark H: Yeah right.. n some rides are not ready yet.
@Jacklyn: I don’t have the calendar… you may want to visit their official website http://www.rwsentosa.com/Attractions/UniversalStudiosSingapore
“mon-thurs will be the best days to avoid queues huh” – Generally speaking, I guess soooo!
“if i were to visit it somewhere around end of may or d 22nd of june, to u, will it be crowded? lolx~ do i need to book tickets for that?” – That period is school holiday, so it should be crowded.
Where are you from? To play safe, it’ll be good to book the tickets in advance.

Just came back from a wonderful 5 day vacation to singapore.. its such an awsome place to be.. visiting universal studio is a must.. the transformers ride, water show, and new york steven spielberg show are just mindblowing.. thou i found the madagascar n shrek rides kinda boring.. u might wana skip the 3D/4D rides in sentosa if u plan to visit universal coz here u can feel the use of latest technology..
