Are you in the holiday mood now? Time flies, we are going to say goodbye to 2008 in less than a month! Christmas is around the corner, the town is elaborately decorated with impressive Christmas lights, lanterns, huge Christmas trees, and shopping malls are now swarmed with happy shoppers busily buying Christmas gifts, ornaments, new year clothes, bags and bags of everything. Yes, we are now in recession, but people still love to celebrate the festive seasons. After all, it’s a yearly affair.
I just realised the big Christmas tree below resembles Louis Vuitton monogram design hehe.
It’s usually the case that when I decide to go for outdoor shooting in Singapore, it rains. So I have not taken much Christmas photos at downtown yet. These are just some pictures taken from Raffles City (Singapore) to kick start the series of upcoming X’mas posts.

Not only the downtown is filled with Christmas decorations, neighbourhood malls are beautifully decorated too. Pics below are taken from Causeway Point at Woodlands, the border of Singapore just across Peninsular Malaysia.

Remember I mentioned before I read from Wikipedia that the import of Ramly Burger to Singapore is prohibited, only frozen Ramly Burger patties are approved for sale and I only see Ramly stalls at pasar malam (means “night market”)? This is an example of a Ramly stall at a pasar malam in Singapore. I think Ramly burgers from Malaysia are better. =P

the bed at raffles city, been there and saw some ppl performing on stage…. something like xmas dream time but its kinda cool with musical dance and gymnastical dance performance 🙂 dangerous!
In term of mall decoration, my hometown is a pale shadow compare to what I see in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore.
But I am looking for the annual colourful Christmas parade here on the 20th.

eunice, im always in the holiday mood when it comes to december. i’ll be down in kl from this thurs till saturday for my xmas shopping. bringing along my better half and my mom…..yeahoo!!!!1 im on holiday now!!!!
btw, at least the malls in singapore were decorated with xmas stuff. some of the shops in kuantan were already playing gong xi fa cai songs….i was so sore the other day that i commented nastily to one of the shops in megamall. he was taken back….luckily didnt spark a fight. i quickly sped off after that…*sigh* the ah beng and ah lians in kuantan….. 🙁

@Footyman: Hehe, I never tried those at Pasar Malam for many years.. those burgers are too oily.
@Calvin: Oh yes, Singapore malls and downtown are filled with X’mas atmosphere. Hmm perhaps the shop is not very sensitive towards festive seasons in a multi-religion and multi-racial country. There are still X’mas, angmo New Year to go before Chinese New Year heheh. They too kancheong lah!! XD So poor service, ignore them.
