My weekend staycation at Furama City Centre was a mini getaway from the weekday routine. How delightful it was to experience one of their well-appointed Executive Club guest rooms and not forgetting the warm welcome from the Guest Service Officers that made me feel home.
Well situated in the heart of Chinatown, Furama City Centre is merely a 5-minute walk from Chinatown MRT. You will be spoilt for choice with the abundance of tasty food and the eclectic mix of merchandise on offer, while soaking in the rich cultural heritage of Chinatown. This major tourist attraction is a must-visit.
Upon entering the four star hotel, I was greeted by the colourful stairway leading to the lobby, and checking in was a breeze.
I was pleased by how spacious, clean and organised the room was, and appreciated the plate of complimentary fruit platter and welcome card. Best of all, the room offers a breathtaking view of the city skyline.
At Furama City Centre, some of the selected guest rooms are equipped with a voice controlled device, known as the Invisible Butler (named Echo) and this room is one of it! The system enables guests to control, by voice – the lights, play music, set alarm, read news, receive information and recommendation on attractions within the vicinity and even reading bedtime stories to children. It was easy, futuristic and added much fun as I experienced seamless in-room service.
The room also had a Handy smartphone which guests can take out. The smartphone contains an electronic guide of the attractions in Singapore, maps and navigation details. What a wholesome holiday stay experience in Furama.
During my stay, I got the access to the Executive Lounge, which allows privacy and exclusive services. Enjoy the mouth-watering Executive Breakfast, cold and hot beverages, and evening cocktails (6:00pm to 8:00pm).
For a relaxing dip, head to the outdoor swimming pool.
Soaking in the night scene of the city from the comfort of my room.
After a restful night, I headed down to Tiffany Cafe & Restaurant situated at the lobby level for breakfast.
The international morning buffet spread – choice of selection ranges from bakery, Asian style stir-fried, good’ole Continental brekkie and the egg station which serves omelette the way you want.
How time flies when we are having good times! It was a short yet fabulous staycation at Furama City Centre. If you are looking for an affordable staycation in downtown, you can consider Furama City Centre.

It was great stay at the Furama, City Centre. It was just one night there and its become memorable. I remember, we were at airport stopover and it was total crowd all around. we were upgraded for free to a suite (2 adults and 2 kids), which, apart from being right by the lifts, was excellent and very clean. I would especially mention the staff, they were also very polite and courteous.
