I am a Canadian living in Taiwan. Chinese people are not my enemies, and I feel for the appalling human tragedy and loss of life. My thoughts and prayers are with families who lost loved ones, and for all those who lost their homes and their ability to make a living.
Throughout its long and sometimes brutal past, Chinese have repeatedly shown themselves to be strong and resourceful people in the face of tragedy. I have confidence in your courage–and in the triumph of the human spirit that so many Chinese people have demonstrated and will continue to do so.

May the victims of the earthquake feel not alone, the world is trying to help you the best it can.
May the ones that have died rest in peace, may the living quickly heal and can return to a normal life as soon as possible.

Thank you for this website giving me opportunity to express our feelings towards the Chinese people and people in Sichuan in particular.
I have been in Sichuan. The people in Sichuan are kind and friendly to outsiders. And they are diligent and hardworking as well.
The tragedy is beyond any English words. I sincerely hope they recover and get their life back soon. And I believe they will.

I have Chinese friends there. I hope them safe and sound.
The situation is grim. They need tents in millions to house survivors who lost their houses. Rain and flood are coming. Feeding and housing survivors are now a priority.
As the posts above, I express words of condolences to victims vanished in the quake. May them rest in peace. As extending out a hand from a friend, I say this to the surviors who have lost their love ones, I am with you. My family is with you. Wish you recover soon.

Prayers go out to those lost in the tragedy and also to those who survived the tragedy. May they have the strength to deal with the harsh reality and courage to face the coming days.

My heart, and prayers are with China, and the great Chinese people. I know that the great people of China will overcome this very sad tragedy with great strength, and be even greater then before. May God, bless you all.

My heart is filled with sorrow. Here in America, I am so far removed from the devastation….but the pictures of our Countrymen lost, injured, dead…it just makes me want to reach out and hold them.
May God grant peace to those who perished, and strength to those who survived.

We are hoping and praying for all of you, please hang in there, we are in this for the long haul, it will take a long time to rebuild and we will be there every step of the way

I’m sorry the Sichuan Earthquake had come to pass. I can only imagine how it would feel to lost a loved one in such a horrible calamity. It’s also sad that so many children were lost. Words cannot do my grief any justice so I’ll just end this by saying…God bless all who’ve survived, and may the dead rest in peace.

Our deepest sympathy to all the victims of the earthquake… and our prayers too. We’re hoping that the Lord God will no longer give the same calamity to this place. The people had suffered enough already…
