ASUS PadFone 2, officially available in Singapore from 22 Nov’12 onwards, consists of a higher-specification quad-core smartphone and a completely redesigned tablet. The 4.7″ Android smartphone docks with the PadFone 2 Station, featuring a 10.1″ tablet.
Visually pleasing, the unique 2-in-1 combo is light and sleek – the PadFone 2 weighs only 135g and the combined weight when docked in the Station is 649g, lighter than most tablets of other brands. The new 4.7″ 1280 x 720 HD Super IPS+ display uses scratch-resistant Corning® Glass and you get sharp and detailed colour images, just dock the PadFone 2 in the Station to sync all the data easily.

For best performance in both smartphone and tablet modes, the PadFone 2 incorporates a 1.5GHz Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ S4 Pro quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. Sound quality wise, it’s well taken care of by ASUS SonicMaster technology and audio tuning.
Long battery life is one of the main concerns for smartphone users, and the PadFone 2 comes with a battery that can provide 16 hours of 3G talk-time and 13 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing. The PadFone 2 Station’s battery gives an extra 36 hours of 3G talk-time.

A smartphone is not complete without a high performance camera. The PadFone 2’s 13 megapixel camera with a wide f/2.4 aperture allows users to take snappy shots and HD videos.
The PadFone 2 storage can be shared with the PadFone 2 Station smoothly when the PadFone is docked in the Station, therefore, you don’t have to worry about data syncing between devices. Also, one data plan for mobile data connectivity is only needed for both the smartphone and tablet for fast web browsing and downloads.
PadFone 2 + PadFone 2 Station currently retails at S$1,099 (32GB) and S$1,239 (64GB).
