Return to the Mighty Niagara Falls

We went back to the falls again in the morning. From far, we could actually see the rising mist resulted from the powerful Niagara Falls.

We walked around and climbed up the stairs near the falls and getting soaked again without any raincoat. It was really cold and we left the falls after a while to proceed to the IMAX theatre for the movie – Niagara: Miracles, Myths and Magic.

A ticket costs USD10 and the movie is about the explorers and settlers that put Niagara on the map and the daredevils who have tried to tame her waters at the Niagara Falls.

The inventor, Nikola Tesla, is standing atop an AC motor, one of the 700 inventions he patented. He designed the first hydro-electric power plant in Niagara Falls. This was the final victory of Tesla’s Alternating Current (AC) over Edison’s Direct Current (DC).

After watching the 40-min legendary movie in front of a 45-foot screen, we walked around the Visitor Center before leaving the Niagara Falls State Park.

The Niagara Falls was our last destination with the tour group before we left for Orlando, Florida. The tour group left for Boston, Massachusetts. Our tour guide, Richard, asked for USD30 tips from each of us for the so-called 4-day guided tour (actually we thought it was only 3 days as on the first night, we went straight to the hotel)
