what ever has happened in japan is very bad, but the people of japan should be strong enough, and the people across the world pray for japanese.

According to Japan Guide, the Japanese archipelago is located in an area where several continental and oceanic plates meet. This is the cause for frequent earthquakes and the presence of many volcanoes and hot springs across Japan.

The worse earthquake in Japan occurred in 1923, causing 100,000 deaths.
